Author and film maker Lou Baczewski discusses his visit to France to trace his grandfather's journey as a tank driver starting from Omaha Beach through five major historic battlegrounds, including the Battle of the Bulge and ending with the liberation of the Dora-Mittlebau concentration camp. The independent film "Path of the Past" is based upon the book he wrote of his grandfather, "Lou Baczewski-Author of Louch: A Simple Man's True Story of War, Survival, Life, and Legacy." A reflective and down to earth account of a young man from a small town in Illinois who survived without a scratch.
