North Webster is a historic black community in the suburbs of St. Louis with long rich history. In spite of discrimination, North Webster achieved through black-owned businesses, nationally recognized schools, churches, and by the residents who provided character, determination, and excellence. Noted artist Preston Jackson discusses the monument he sculpted to honor North Webster. He is joined by Lewis and Janice Davis who are lifelong residents of North Webster and the mayor of Webster Groves, Gerry Welch.
