Executive Director Field House Museum
Stephanie Bliss is the Executive Director of the Field House Museum in St. Louis, Missouri, where she brings over a decade of experience in historic preservation, museum education, and collaborative programming. Throughout her tenure at the museum, she has held several key positions, including Education and Volunteer Coordinator, and has served as the museum’s liaison to the Urban Museum Collaborative—a partnership with the Campbell House Museum and the Griot Museum of Black History.
Stephanie has led numerous grant-funded initiatives, including projects supported by the Missouri Humanities Council and the Regional Arts Commission. Her innovative work includes the development of interactive “Character Cards” and the traveling exhibit Walking in Someone Else’s Shoes: Taking a Step into History, as well as Poetry in the Garden, a program that brings together the works of 19th-century poet Eugene Field with the voices of contemporary poets.
A founding and active member of Historic Saint Louis, Stephanie has been instrumental in uniting more than 25 historic sites, museums, and private homes across the region. Through her leadership on the organization’s PR committee, she has designed its logo, managed its digital presence, and created numerous promotional campaigns that increase public engagement with St. Louis history.
Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Science in Historic Preservation with an emphasis in Museum Studies and Archives from Southeast Missouri State University. She is deeply committed to creating meaningful, accessible experiences that connect communities to their shared cultural heritage.
