Kortney Hudzik, M.A.

Kortney Hudzik is a dedicated and accomplished professional in the fields of victim advocacy, child welfare, and program leadership. Currently serving as the Director of Volunteer Service Link at Healing Action Network, Kortney plays a pivotal role in expanding Missouri’s capacity to respond to human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation. Her leadership focuses on connecting and training community volunteers to support service organizations statewide, enhancing identification efforts, and strengthening networks of care for survivors.

With over a decade of experience in social services and advocacy, Kortney’s career spans multiple critical roles, including her most recent position as Holistic Safety Program Manager at Healing Action. There, she managed and developed direct services, coordinated interagency collaborations, and implemented trauma-informed care strategies for survivors of commercial sexual exploitation. She also conducted statewide trainings and represented Healing Action in policy and outreach initiatives.

Previously, Kortney worked as a forensic interviewer at Mary Abbott Children’s House in Oklahoma, where she conducted developmentally appropriate and legally sound interviews with children who experienced abuse. Her career in child welfare also includes roles as a Permanency Supervisor and Conservatorship Caseworker in Texas, where she was responsible for supporting families, building permanency plans, and training new social workers in evidence-based practices like Solution-Based Casework.

Kortney holds a Master of Arts in Administrative Leadership from Angelo State University and a Bachelor of Arts & Sciences in Criminology from Texas A&M University–San Antonio. Her academic background is supported by extensive specialized training in trauma-informed care, forensic interviewing, leadership, and child sexual exploitation. She has participated in and facilitated numerous professional workshops, webinars, and community awareness programs across the United States.

She is an active member of several professional and advocacy groups, including the National Society of Leadership and Success, the National Children’s Alliance, and various workgroups under the Coalition Against Trafficking & Exploitation (CATE), where she contributes to state-level initiatives focused on survivor needs and education.

Kortney’s passion for justice and her unwavering commitment to trauma recovery and survivor-centered care continue to drive her work in building safer, more responsive communities for those affected by exploitation and abuse.
